Lazers Soccer Club Peachtree City

Welcome Letter from Director

I’d like to welcome you to the Lazers league.  I am here to help you in your professional development as a new referee.  Please feel free to come to me with any questions or concerns.  You will be working with adults and youth referees willing to help you enjoy the experience and mentor you to become an even better referee. Please ensure your contact information is up to date AND you are receiving my "Weekly Recap" emails.  If you are not receiving my weekly email, then check your spam folder or contact me.  My primary method to communicate is through email and I push out a lot of valuable information that you cannot miss.  Available on the website is information for Certification Classes, Assignment process, Pay Rates, and Misconduct Reports among other things.

You can referee games on the same day that you play with your team.   I would recommend for any referee no more than 3 or 4 games per day.  Perhaps you will want fewer games if the temperatures are very hot or you have another activity such as playing on a team.  Be sure to hydrate with plenty of water prior to and the day of games. And do wear sunscreen even on those overcast days.

If you are a new AR, I know you'll have a lot of questions.  You will find all of our experienced refs willing to help you. Please do not hesitate to ask questions of any Lazers referee you see out at the field.  The most important thing for you to do right now is gather your equipment (badge, uniform shirt, shorts, socks, shoes, flags, cards, whistle, watch, pen/pencil, paper) and review the Laws of the Game (LOTG).

Welcome to the Lazers Soccer Club where you help develop some of the best referees in Georgia.
